Here are some pictures with another AN2.
You really got my attention with your modell. My father was a pilot flying on Antonov 2 (military version). I also had the chance to control this bird. I'm glad to see interest in this plane.
In Germany I saw one in the museum :) . Still in use here ...

@Intruder and LooSeR: Many thanks for sending the pictures. It´s a big help to me.

Last night I made the connection between the fuselage and the lower wings. Today I will finish the wings and will start making the upper ones (...we have the German Eastern-weekend; one week earlier then in Romania).

The "AN-2" is fascinating me since many, many years. One or two times per week I see flying one over my home - coming from Swiss, making a sightseeing-flight over south-Germany. And all two years there are five or six on teh oldtimer-meeting Hahnweide (www.oldtimer-hahnweide.de) near Stuttgart.

After a long period of slowly working, here is a update. The wings are ready. Now the fuselage will be on the bench again, at first doing the tail.

Florin sent me a lot of nice pictures of the Romanian AN-2. Unfortunately he is not able at the moment to go online.

Coming back from holiday, I found a lot of rainy days in Germany. Attached you find an actual picture of my Antonov, taken today several minutes ago. My bureau and my workshop are now to small for the model... :( :D :(

Just missing the tail- and wing-struts, the gear and the canopy. Still enough to do... ;-))

Very pretty. A little strange without the canopy. Like the nose is too small :huh:
It's quite big. How much it weight now?
The wing parts are laser cut ? I saw the picture and the cuts are brown...

I plan to cover the open parts with the lightweight "Oralight"-foil. After that the whole model will be covered with 21-g/m²-paper, fillered and painted. The foil under the paper shall make the covering more resistable and the paper shall give a good base for the painting.

Ready to fly!

Weight is total 7,45 kg. The motor (Torcman TM-430 Triton) turns the 18"-fourblade-prop with 5.500 U/min at 55 A by 8s LiPo 3.300 mAh. Thrust is 6,8 kg!

As soon as the rain will stop and the wind slows down I will go to fly.
