Legat de palele originale...mmm...cam nasoale.De la inceput le-am schimbat cu Gaupner.Am facut vreo doua zboruri cu palele originale,dar nu pot fi comparate cu Gaupner,care,in mod surprinzator,sint putin mai ieftine.
Probleme pina la ora actuala : o lipitura rece laa un conector de la motor si servoul de pe coada,care a decedat la ultimul zbor si am ramas cu deriva cabrata putin pe dreapta.Din fericire,m-am aplecat o singura data,ca sa ridic modelul dupa aterizare :).O alta problema este prinderea profundorului,la care,daca nu se sting suruburile in mod egal, trebuie adus din nou la sol si pus surubelnita pe el.O singura data l-am nimerit din prima.
Statia care o folosesc,este E-FLY ETC 62,deci cu limitarile de rigoare,desi pina acum nu am fost dezamagit de ea.In curind sper sa intru in posesia unei statii,Turnigy tx 9,care sa permita anumite mixaje,imposibile pe E-FLY.
In rest,nu pot sa zic decit lucruri frumoase despre Diamond.La nici 1000 de lei,complet echipat,ofera mai mult decit m-am asteptat.
Datorita lui,am descoperit frumusetea zborului la panta si m-am ales cu o durere de git de toata frumusetea,dupa aproximativ 3 ore de zbor cu doi acumulatori.Noroc ca mi-am facut atunci plinul,pentru ca a doua zi au inceput ploile si de atunci nu am mai zburat.
STIGANAS ,in ultimele doua zile,am facut un model,pentru zborul la panta.Nu am Alula,dar fac scoala pe Crossbow.

Cam orice servo o sa se potriveasca caci servo artech sunt foarte inalte. Cel de la profundor nu e in pericol sa fie agatat la aterizare asa ca merge chiar orice cu gear de metal sau plastic - eu am avut in casa un inolab (robbe FS61) dar orice e bun, de pilda un Futaba S3114.
La eleroane si flaps daca le schimbi e preferabil sa pui ceva cu metalgear. Am auzit de bine de cele Corona - ultraieftine, gear de metal, digitale.
La al meu au ramas servo originale cu exceptia celui de profundor.

fata de Sierra la 1400 RON. Vinzi radioul junk cu 150 RON la unul care vrea barca de plantat si ramane la 842 RON.
Daca nu aveam deja unul sigur luam acum. E o singura bucata.

Va rog sa ma ajutati cu sfat.
Am cumparat pentru inlocuirea palelor originale, niste pale Cam Carbon(sau CAM Folding) de la Graupner, cu aceeasi specificatie 14x8. Spre surprinderea mea, palele 14x8 originale au cu totul alta forma si dimensiune decat palele Cam Carbon 14x8, adica acestea noi sunt mai inguste si putin mai scurte decat originalele.
Sa le folosesc fara probleme sau sa cumpar altele mai mari, tot Cam Carbon, de exemplu 15x8 sau 15x10?

Eu le am si sunt perfecte. Vorbim de pak 4s.
Palele originale le-am pus pe alt planor unde puterea e mai mica si nu risc sa se rupa.

Cel de la vanzare era cel nou, al doilea exemplar, pe care l-am achizitionat dupa ce a cazut primul. Acesta tocmai ce s-a vandut...

Altfel faptul ca are flapsuri adevarate si motor puternic, masa si anvergura il fac o placere atat la pilotat cat si la aratat la public.
Pana acum e cel mai bun trainer pentru planoare full house.

Apropos, (Wabo) Diamond a ajuns acuma la Budapesta :); multumiri d-ului Wabo. Si by the way, este aproape indestructibil. La primul meu zbor (mentionez, primul, primul!!! si pacat ca n-am avut camera sa-l filmez), l-am pierdut din vedere spre autostrada, asa ca l-am cautat si gasit intr-un final infipt intr-un sant. Cat se poate de intreg!
Schema e ca i-au sarit legaturile de profundor si directie din receiver :D, iar cu eleroanele si flapsurile n-am avut cum sa-l aduc jos.
Da e intreg, inca! :) Si desi, mai incepator decat un incepator, la lansarea din mana, nu l-am infipt in mama terra :))))))))

CG Location Contrary to popular myth, airfoils do not have "ideal" CG locations -- airplanes do. The CG location should mainly depend on the wing planform, the tail arm, and the tail size. The wing airfoil is secondary.
Another myth is that the glider's performance (L/D, sink rate, penetration, whatever) is strongly affected by CG position. It just ain't so. You might see the L/D change by only a few percent after a drastic CG change, assuming the elevator trim and/or decalage are readjusted correctly. The big effect is on handling and pitch behavior, which is far more important than a few percent in sink rate when flying in active air.
Where you want the CG to be should depend on personal preference and flying style. Some people fly with the CG well forward. Others seem to fly with the CG as far back as is tolerable.
To decide what's best for you, a good approach is to first identify the aftmost neutrally-stable CG location by dive test or whatever. Then move the CG ahead of that point by gradual amounts, until the glider behaves as you like.
So what to watch for? As a guide, here are some behavior pros and cons at the two extremes of the CG range. The idea is to strike a nice balance.
1) CG at the aft limit... glider continues in a straight line or tucks in very slightly when put into a dive from a slow glide.
Pro: Glider will strongly pitch up and slow down, or "balloon", when flying directly into the slightest lift, and dive down and speed up when flying directly out of lift. Obviously this behavior is a nice weak lift indicator, especially when very far away or directly overhead where you can't easily tell if the glider is going up or down. This type of "lift ahead" or "lift behind" indication via pitch change and airspeed is a good addition to the usual "lift to the side" indication via banking.
Con: Glider will not hold pitch trim, but will tend to stall or dive at the slightest disturbance. Lots of work is needed to constantly twiddle with the elevator. In turbulent thermals you have to fly faster than ideal to avoid occasional stalls.
2) CG well forward of aft CG limit... glider pulls out very quickly when put into a dive.
Pro: Glider will solidly hold pitch trim and airspeed, even in turbulence. When in a thermal, this allows flying nice and slow at minimum sink, with little risk of stalling from an upset.
Con: Glider has little tendency to pitch up and slow down when flying straight into lift, but just plows steadily along. It will still directly rise in lift while staying level, but again this is not as obvious as a pitch change when directly overhead or very high up. The "lift to the side" indication via banking is unaffected, and should not enter into the CG position decision.

Am vazut cand s-a rupt si mi-a parut tare rau. Am patit si eu exact asa cu EZ Glider-Pro. Receptor Turnigy 9x decedat.

Pur si simplu, m-am bucurat enorm ca nu i-a cazut in cap colegului de zbor aflat la vreo 10-15 m in stinga mea.Pasaroiul a cazut la 1-2 m de el dupa ce a venit in picaj la 45* de la aproximativ 50 m inaltime.La cele 2 kg care le are si cu conul de aluminiu in bot, cu siguranta se lasa cu chestii nasoale daca lovea pe cineva.

Nu mai stiam despre el nimic dupa atata pauza, abia acum am citit si mi-am adus aminte - e bun la ceva forumul.
Am scos de pe el receptorul orange DSM cu 9 canale (ultimul aflat pe un model), toate cele cu 9 canale au fost proaste, pierdeau receptia asa ca am decis sa il schimb pana nu face o figura si pe Diamond, am pus un AR7200.
Lansarea din mana e OK dar tot am emotii, e mare, greu si la plecare se infunde nitel pana prinde viteza.
Uitasem de atitudinea ciudata in zbor dar de care zice wabo dar tot timpul am avut senzatia ca ceva nu e in regula, fuselajul sta cu botul in sus in zbor planat.
Altfel cand e termica (si azi a fost) urca bine, cand nu e coboara destul de repede. Roata aia e in continuare o pacoste dar o mai las. Daca bate vantul (si nu ploua) il zbor la Brasov la F5J.
